Sika Plug is a chloride-free, ready-to-use powder based on high-alumina cement. When mixed with water, it forms a rapid-setting plugging mortar.

Uses

Sika Plug is ideal for sealing leaks and is commonly used as a pre-treatment before applying the Sikalastic 1K cementitious waterproofing system. It is designed for:

Instant leak sealing in concrete and masonry
Pre-waterproofing applications

3 parts powder : 1 part water (approx. by mass)

Substrate Quality / Pre-Treatment

Ensure surfaces are clean and free from contaminants before application:

Concrete, mortar, and brickwork: Remove oil, grease, dust, and laitance
Steel and iron: Must be clean and free of oil, grease, and rust
For optimal adhesion, create a roughened or “V” shape profile at the leak
Porous substrates should be pre-soaked before applying

Mixing Instructions

Due to the rapid curing of Sika Plug, mix only small amounts at a time:

Quickly combine powder and water in a container
Mix thoroughly and apply immediately with a gloved hand or trowel

Application Process

Firmly press the mixed mortar into the leaking area
Hold in place until it hardens
Strike off flush with the surface if needed
For high-pressure leaks, use a timber plug before applying Sika Plug
