Eco-Friendly ENVIROTHANE 8470

A & I Coatings ENVIROTHANE 8470 is a high-performance, waterborne two-pack acrylic polyurethane designed for concrete and steel protection. It provides ease of use and VOC compliance and is suitable for brush, roller or spray application. This environmentally friendly fast drying coating has very good yellowing and UV resistance on exterior exposure and may be applied in conjunction with epoxy primer and intermediate coats to provide a durable, corrosion resistant coating system.

This product may be used with non-slip media to achieve various anti-slip ratings.

Applications

Perfect for:

Limitations

  • Only available in satin finish.
  • Not suitable for application below 10°C or above 85% relative humidity.
  • Excessive thickness may cause whitening when used as a clear coat.
  • Not recommended for direct application on concrete.

Coverage and Storage

  • Coverage: 6.0–9.0 m²/litre at 50–70μm DFT (110–165μm WFT).
  • Storage: Store sealed in a cool, dry place for up to 12 months. Reinspect after this period.

Application and Clean-up
Apply with a brush, roller, or spray at the recommended coverage rate. Ensure the surface is clean and free from contaminants. Use A & I Coatings’ recommended cleaner to flush all equipment thoroughly after use. Mixed paint should not be resealed and should be used promptly. Please read the technical data sheet .
