How to Apply Alka-251 Coating for Maximum Performance

Before applying, make sure to clean the substrate thoroughly and remove any contaminants like oil, grease, and surface laitance. For larger areas, use shot blasting or high-pressure water blasting, while smaller areas may require needle gunning or bush hammering. The application temperature ranges from 10°C to 30°C, with a maximum relative humidity of around 80%.

Storage and Handling Instructions for Alka-251 Coating Paint

Alka-251 dries efficiently, taking 4-7 hours at around 25°C. You can apply the overcoat after 8-24 hours, and light traffic can use the surface after 3 days. Full curing usually takes about 7 days at the same temperature.

Alka-251 maintains its integrity for a minimum of 12 months when stored in dry conditions between 5°C and 30°C. Furthermore, Component Bis  classified as non-hazardous for transportation which ensures safe handling and storage.
